Shorebirds of the Upper Texas Coast

The Upper Texas Coast is a paradise for shorebirds, more than 40 species have been recorded in the last 10 years. From the beaches of the Bolivar Flats to the bays shore at Roll Over Pass to the rice fields of Chambers County. Spring and fall are the best times to seek out targets like Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Red Knot, Hudsonian Godwit, and American Golden-Plover.
